Volume focuses on security planning

The U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) Press recently published a second volume focused on viewing operational planning through a joint, interagency, and multinational lens. The first volume was published in 2015.

Through the Joint, Interagency, and Multinational Lens: Linking the Strategic Environment and Operational Planning includes chapters on a variety of topics that have strategic-level planning “flavor.” These chapters delve into military-to-military relations and interagency coordination, as well as CIA covert action, global water insecurity, and economic crises.

According to Todd Wood, former  director of CGSC’s Department of Joint, Interagency, and Multinational Operations, “The informative commentaries are written in the context of current challenges that our national level leaders face today,” making the volume a good read for security professionals.
