Arkansas National Guard completes DHS accredited cyber training

The Arkansas National Guard recently conducted a cyber training exercise at Little Rock Air Force Base. The training focused on threats to critical infrastructure, and was part of a program developed by a civilian entity accredited by the Department of Homeland Security.

Exercise participants included members of the Arkansas Army National Guard and Air National Guard, as well as area businesses and state and city departments.

“As a whole, building and executing cyber events like this is key to successful cyber operations,” said Air Force Maj. Scott Anderson, director of operations for Detachment 1, 189th Operations Group. “The class is geared toward people who will benefit seeing this in a controlled environment so they will know how to react in a real-world situation.”
