DoD, FEMA prepare for Hurricane Lane

The Hawaii National Guard and active-duty military personnel, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Baltimore District), Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are preparing for Hurricane Lane to make landfall.

FEMA has activated its National Response Coordination Center in Washington, DC, and the Hawaii National Guard has activated its emergency operations center. Both centers will bring together personnel and resources to support local Hawaii authorities with planning and recovery efforts.
