Scholarship Program application window closes soon

The CGSC Foundation recently announced the second year of its competitive scholarship program for immediate family and grandchildren of U.S. Army Command and General Staff College alumni and others who are Life Members of the Foundation’s Alumni Association.

The window for applications closes March 1, 2021. Judging will occur March 2-31 and the Foundation will announce the winners on April 15, 2021.

Like the 2020 program, the 2021 Foundation scholarship awards will include at least two $500 scholarships to high school students and at least two $500 scholarships to college students.

In a new option for the 2021 program, the CGSC Foundation, with thePark University logo generous support of Park University, will also award up to three $3,500 scholarships to Park University. The Park University scholarships are for full-time students for the academic year (the award will be split between the fall and spring semesters). These scholarships can be renewed for up to three years at Park University’s discretion if recipients maintain full-time status, have a 3.0+ GPA, and demonstrate satisfactory academic progress.

In the application, students must select which scholarship they are applying for – the $500 cash scholarship or the Park University $3,500 scholarship.

The CGSC Foundation’s scholarship program is open to high school seniors who will begin their college studies in 2021 and for undergraduate college students in the first three years of their studies (freshman through junior) returning to school.

Austin Shoffner, CGSC Foundation Scholarship Recipient

“The CGSC Foundation Scholarship was great and much appreciated. It came at just the right time and allowed me to enroll in two additional summer term classes… The scholarship enabled me to take advantage of those online courses and put me ahead… as I went into the fall semester. Thanks again to the CGSC Foundation.”
