Interagency Writing Competition Closes
March 16 marked the close of the Arthur D. Simons Center’s 2012 interagency writing competition. The writing competition garnered attention around the globe, with submissions coming from Germany, Switzerland, and across the United States. Contributors were invited to submit manuscripts that dealt with interagency issues at the tactical or operational levels. The topics included the interagency role in preventing conflict when dealing with failing or failed states, and the validity of the “whole-of-government” approach in dealing with the full range of homeland and national security threats. Winners of the interagency writing competition will be announced at a later date.
