Welcome to the new Simons Center website

Welcome to the updated and refreshed Simons Center website. We hope old friends are finding their way around and new site visitors are discovering all that the Simons Center has to offer.

Users of our old site will notice that we’ve added a few new content areas to the site, including this blog. The new blog will include short opinion pieces on current national security topics related to interagency cooperation that will be penned by Simons Center leadership and subject matter experts. The blog is intended to provide our readers a place to discuss timely issues regarding interagency cooperation, and at times, the lack thereof. We encourage you to engage with our bloggers, and to consider submitting ideas for future blog posts.

We’ve also added an awards column where we’ll highlight the winners of the Simons Center’s writing competitions. This new section will allow us to publicly recognize the excellence of the students and faculty at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

We’ve also added an area for “Foundation News,” where we will keep you up-to-date on the goings on at our parent organization, the CGSC Foundation. The Simons Center is the Foundation’s largest program, and this section will highlight the Foundation’s many other programs and accomplishments, including their support of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and its students and faculty.

We’ve made some other “tweaks” to content, but rather than detail them all here, I’ll leave it to you to discover. And while you’re exploring, if you’re on a mobile device you may notice that we’ve improved functionality for mobile users. – Our old site was viewable on a mobile device, but it wasn’t “responsive.” This new site provides a better experience for mobile users.

Finally, while you’re on the site today we hope you’ll take a moment and sign up for our “Email Alerts.” That way you’ll be notified when we add news or events to the site. We welcome your thoughts and feedback – just go to the Contact Us page and send us an email. And we would also like to encourage our readers to consider writing for our InterAgency Journal or our InterAgency Paper, Essay, or Study series.

The Simons Center is committed to the development of interagency leaders and an interagency body of knowledge that facilitates broader and more effective cooperation and policy implementation, and support the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. I would like to ask you to please consider supporting our mission. If you would like to give to continue the work of the Simons Center, you can do so on our donate page. We’re still working on having the donate page match the rest of the redesigned site, but please know it still works.

On behalf of the Simons Center and the Foundation, I want to thank everyone that has supported us over the years. I hope that you will continue to help us support the Simons Center in our mission as we contribute to the development of great leaders for the nation.
