Simons Center director recognized by Foundation board

The CGSC Foundation recently recognized former Simons Center director Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Ray Barrett at a farewell dinner on October 7. At the dinner, the Foundation board presented Barrett with a Foundation chair in appreciation for his retiring after 10 years of service as one of the Foundation’s founding trustees, its first Vice Chairman, and as director of the Simons Center.

The farewell dinner was part of the Foundation’s board meeting. The following day the meeting continued with special presentations from the CGSC Deputy Commandant Brig. Gen. John Kem, CGSC Commandant/Fort Leavenworth commander Lt. Gen. Robert Brown, and Fort Leavenworth Deputy to the Commanding General Mr. Kirby Brown.
