CyberCon speakers focus on cybersecurity, defense

Last month, leaders from the Departments of Defense (DoD) and Homeland Security (DHS) spoke at CyberCon 2015, a cybersecurity forum for dialogue on strategy and innovation to secure federal and defense networks. The forum included speakers and panelists representing various U.S. government agencies, and focused on cybersecurity and defense.

Keynote speakers included DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson, DHS U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) Director Ann Barron-DiCamillo, Defense Information Systems Agency Director Lt. Gen. Alan Lynn, and Lt. Gen. Robert Ferrell, Cheif Information Officer/G-6, U.S. Army. Among other topics, speakers and panelists discussed partnerships between U.S. government and private industry, DHS’s role in cybersecurity, cyber’s place in modern warfare, and information sharing.
