The Simons Center is committed to the development of of ethical leaders with interagency operational skills and an interagency body of knowledge that facilitates broader and more effective cooperation and policy implementation. As a research, analysis, studies, and publication center, the Simons Center is focused on the interagency aspects of national security; counterterrorism; stability and reconstruction operations; homeland defense and security; and disaster preparation and response.
Who we areThe Command and General Staff College (CGSC) educates, trains, and develops leaders for Unified Land Operations in a Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational operational environment. The Simons Center is a fully-funded program of the CGSC Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit corporation. Donations through CGSC help us fulfill our mission to develop interagency leaders and an interagency body of knowledge.

ARTER-ROWLAND NATIONAL SECURITY FORUM: 2023 NATO SUMMIT
In this presentation of the Arter-Roland National Security Forum, retired Maj. Gen. Gordon B. “Skip” Davis, Jr., a Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis, a member of the Alphen Group and a Senior Research Fellow for the Simons Center for Ethical Leadership and Interagency Cooperation, spoke to the attendees via Zoom on Oct. 19, 2023. Davis provided an overview of the 2023 NATO Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania and the road to the 2024 NATO Summit in Washington, D.C. The Vilnius Summit included many decisions advancing NATO defense plans, readiness, capabilities and responses to Russian aggression and other threats and challenges. Read more.

ARTER-ROWLAND NATIONAL SECURITY FORUM
The Arter-Rowland National Security Forum (ARNSF) is an exclusive, professional information sharing and networking forum for individuals interested in keeping abreast of relevant information about national security issues. The forum hosts multiple events throughout the year including luncheons, special presentations, and virtual events.
ARNSF members engage with subject matter experts in order to explore topics with national, regional, and local implications. Memberships consists of senior leaders and business executives spanning numerous industries and sectors.
SIMONS CENTER FELLOWS
The Fellows program helps promote interest in the area of interagency cooperation to foster more effective and efficient governmental action. Our mission is to support active participation in the interagency community by sharing interagency experience, conducting research and analysis, and contributing to the education and advancement of interagency cooperation.
Fellows can contribute to the greater understanding of interagency challenges through intellectual discourse about situations at the application level of the government, engage in substantive contributions to the Center’s efforts, and influence change.

The exercise of ethical leadership and effective interagency cooperation have profound effects on war and conflict prosecuted in support of our national interest. We invite the members of the interagency community of practice to offer short, thought-provoking opinion pieces that stimulate conversation and expand the discussion on war and conflict.
The InterAgency Journal (IAJ) is a refereed national security studies journal, and is published quarterly by the Command and General Staff College Foundation Press for the Simons Center for Ethical Leadership and Interagency Cooperation.
Our podcast features the stories of military veterans told from their perspectives. Their first-hand accounts provide unique insights into key moments of history, presenting the challenges faced, solutions implemented, and lessons learned.
The Simons Center’s various lectures, brown bag luncheons, forums and symposia bring together experts to exchange ideas and collaborate on interagency and ethical leadership challenges facing U.S. Governmental agencies.
