Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Gordon B. “Skip” Davis, Jr., a Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis, provides an overview of the 2022 NATO Summit via Zoom on Sept. 15, 2022.

Davis provided an overview of the 2022 NATO Summit which was conducted in Madrid in June 2022. The Summit was the result of Russian aggression and other threats, including China, and challenges such as climate change. During the summit NATO leaders approved a new NATO 2022 Strategic Concept which clearly delineates the threats and challenges facing the Alliance, revises NATO’s three core tasks, and lays out key lines of effort for adapting the Alliance politically and militarily for 2030 and beyond.

Simons Center Director Bob Ulin along with Deputy Director John Nelson provided the introduction and moderated the discussion.
