This is a report by the American Academy of Diplomacy and the Stimson Center regarding the necessity for a renewed emphasis on the diplomatic side of U.S. foreign policy. This recommends three broad courses of action to address this deficiency, and advocates for increased training and education for diplomatic professionals.
