A section from the InterAgency Journal about the 2011 Interagency Symposium hosted by the Combined Arms Center and co-hosted by the United States Institute for Peace and the Simons Center for the Study of Interagency Cooperation. The Symposium brought together experts from the Department of State, Department of Defense, and various NGOs to discuss the theme of “Interagency Transitions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Beyond”. The Symposium’s panels debated issues of transition in an interagency context, and their findings were published as a “Leader’s Handbook for Interagency Transitions”.
