This article discusses various “lessons learned” from the 2011 multinational operation in Libya, a joint effort by NATO members to support the country’s rebels in their uprising against the dictator Muammar Qaddafi. The article suggests that this “Libyan model” could be applied to the more current, and similar, situation in Syria.
