This paper examines the impact of human activities on public health, natural environmental quality, and natural resources. The author asserts that civilian government agencies and private sector stakeholders, nation’s militaries should consider environmental issues and concerns at the strategic level particularly in view of the worldwide increase of severity and number of natural disasters over the past decade.
