AUSA pledges $20K to CGSC Foundation
The national headquarters of the Association of the United States Army has pledged $20,000 in support of CGSC Foundation programs at Fort Leavenworth to further its mission capabilities for Soldiers and families attending the Command and General Staff College. On Aug. 3, Cal Johnson, president of the Henry Leavenworth chapter of AUSA, Henry Leavenworth AUSA Chapter Secretary Judy Bauer; and AUSA State President (Kansas) Mike Neer presented a check for $10,000 to Foundation Chairman Lt. Gen. (Ret.) John Miller and CEO Doug Tystad. Another installment will be presented at a later date.
The presentation was made during a Leavenworth/Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce Military and Business Social at the headquarters of Armed Forces Insurance in Lansing. The quarterly social is a function of the chamber’s Military Affairs Council.
“We are extremely proud our mission fits within AUSA’s scope,” said Miller. “This contribution will be put to great use in support of our Soldiers and families at CGSC.”
