Opportunities available in CGSC Interagency Fellowship Program

The Army is looking for qualified majors and lieutenant colonels to participate in the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College’s (CGSC) Interagency Fellowship Program. The program, a career broadening, educational opportunity for field grade officers, was launched in 2008.

The fellowship program now boasts 28 interagency partners, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the National Security Agency, the National Counterterrorism Center, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Departments of Transportation, Justice, and State.

CGSC’s Interagency Fellowship Program had grown each year since its inception, with nearly 200 officers participating since 2008. According to Ralph Doughty, the program’s director and a friend of the Simons Center and CGSC Foundation, the program’s goal is to have 50 officers participate this year.

The deadline to apply for the next class is Dec. 30, and successful applicants should expect to start their fellowship in mid-August. All fellowships will take place in the Washington, D.C., area.
