November is Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month

November is Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month, a time to appreciate and protect the essential services that underpin American society and serve as the backbone of our nation’s economy, security, and health.

In a proclamation released yesterday, President Trump stated that “The natural disasters our country has experienced in recent months provide a sobering reminder of the necessity for secure, reliable, and resilient infrastructure.” The president went on to list numerous threats facing U.S. critical infrastructure, including capacity-induced strain, terrorism, cyberattacks, accidents, and natural disasters.

The Department of Homeland Security encourages you to participate in the Hometown Security Initiative, and that you educate yourself on the importance of critical infrastructure and how to better protect yourself from cyberattacks.
