Kansas City Federal Executive Board presents at latest InterAgency Brown-Bag Lecture

Mr. Larry A. Hisle, executive director of the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board, presents the fourth lecture of the InterAgency Brown-Bag Lecture for academic year 2023 in the Arnold Conference Room of the Lewis and Clark Center on Jan. 18, 2023.The fourth lecture of the InterAgency Brown-Bag Lecture Series for CGSC academic year 2023 was conducted Jan. 18, in the Arnold Conference Room in the Lewis and Clark Center on Fort Leavenworth. CGSC Foundation President/CEO Rod Cox provided welcoming remarks and introduced Mr. Larry A. Hisle, executive director of the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board. Hisle led the discussion about the Federal Executive Board’s roles and missions and how it serves as a forum for communication, coordination and collaboration among the various federal agencies with offices in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Hisle’s presentation was attended by students, faculty and staff and a complement of others watching remotely via teleconference.

During his presentation Hisle explained the background of the FEB system and specifically how the Kansas City office conducts its mission through three lines of business – emergency preparedness, security, and employee safety; workforce development; and strategic partnerships. He also explained how the FEB both increases efficiencies and saves taxpayer dollars.

Hisle has served as the executive director of the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board since 2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Thomas Edison State University. Hisle has previously served as a program manager in the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. He has been an active community volunteer with youth sports teams and scouting activities as well as serving on the board of directors of the Sherwood Center for the Exceptional Child and on the advisory council of the KCK Area Technical School.

The InterAgency Brown-Bag Lecture Series is co-hosted by the U.S. Army Command and General Staff School (CGSS) and the CGSC Foundation’s Arthur D. Simons Center for the Study of Ethical Leadership and Interagency Cooperation. The series is an extracurricular, interagency topic-focused series that is intended to help enrich the CGSOC curriculum. Unless otherwise announced, the presentations are scheduled each month from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Arnold Conference Room of the Lewis and Clark Center on Fort Leavenworth.
