This report is the outcome of a study by Christian Aid aimed at producing a baseline of data to test empirically common assumptions about the current functioning of the Saving Lives Together framework and security arrangements of non-governmental organizations. The Inter-Agency Standing Committee Taskforce on Collaborative Approaches to Security launched Saving Lives Together: A Framework for Improving Security Arrangements among IGOs, NGOs and UN in the Field in 2006 to encourage and improve working relationships between humanitarian actors on the ground.
