War Termination – Vietnam, Iraq & Afghanistan

Join us October 22, for an evening lecture and panel discussion that will compare and contrast the war termination measures of the Vietnam war with the current Post-9/11 conflicts of Afghanistan and Iraq. Speakers include Lt. Gen. Paul Van Riper, former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation; Dr. Ted Wilson, University of Kansas faculty; Dr. James Willbanks, George C. Marshall Chair of Military History at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and Dr. Jack Kem, Professor at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

The event will take place at 7:00 pm at the University of Kansas’s Dole Institute of Politics, and is sponsored by the Marine Corps University Foundation, the Command and General Staff College Foundation, and the University of Kansas Graduate Military Programs. The event is free and open to the public.
