Congress.gov to replace THOMAS.gov
Earlier this month, the Library of Congress began redirecting visitors from THOMAS.gov to Congress.gov. Congress.gov was launched as a beta site in September 2012 with the goal of offering a more mobile platform and more content relating to government and congressional actions and documents.
Congress.gov is now the official source for federal legislative information, replacing THOMAS.gov, which had been in use for nearly 20 years. Since it was launched, Congress.gov has begun to incorporate all the information available on THOMAS.gov, as well as add new content and features. The newer site now features updates on legislation, the congressional record, committee information, committee reports, profiles of members of congress, as well as information on the legislative process.
THOMAS.gov is still available through Congress.gov until the end of 2014.
